Scholarships and Awards
In December of 2004 over 50 anti-fraud professionals met in Regina for their annual “Saskatchewan Fraud Conference.” At the end of this conference, the Chapter President announced the creation of an annual scholarship for high school students.
According to the news release, the Chapter would award two high school students $500 each for winning a competition for writing an essay on a selected fraud related topic.

OK—you heard it here first! The winner of the first annual (hopefully) University of Saskatchewan scholarship award will be announced very soon. In the past we have given awards to high school students for fraud papers. This one will be for academic performance in a fraud class.
Saskatchewan Residents involved in the study of Fraud may be eligible to apply for certain awards sponsored by the International Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
